Celebrity chefs cook off in chesterville as part of the Durban Good Food & Wine Show

Seven celebrity chefs and food personalities – who are part of the Good Food & Wine Show which starts in Durban tomorrow (Friday) – today visited the recently awarded winner of the Shisanyama Awards Festival, Café Skyzer in Chesterville to take part in a cook-off with this year’s  theme being “contemporary shisa nyama”.

The Durban Good Food & Wine Show takes place from Friday to Sunday at the Durban Exhibition Centre in association with Durban Tourism.

The chefs, who entertained Chesterville learners, were Giggling Gourmet and Durban girl Jenny Morris; Cape Town private chef Neill Anthony; MasterChef South Africa 2013 winner Kamini Pather; MasterChef South Africa runners-up Siphokazi Mdlankomo and Claire Allen, Sherwyn Weaich (aka the Gourmet Bushie) and Lentswe Bhengu, ambassador for the Chefs Who Share Young Chef Award

These celebrated food personalities shared local flavours, authentic cuisine and imparted inspiring cooking techniques to locals at the township style restaurant, Eyadini Lounge.
